Log Files Options

Add: Opens a dialog window allowing you to choose log file(s) to add to the workspace list.

Remove: Removes the selected log file(s) from the workspace list. Note that it does NOT delete the log file(s) from your hard drive.

This dialog you can define location of raw log files. Web Log Suite supports four types of locations: Local path (Network), FTP, HTTP and ODBC DSN.

Local path (Network path)

You can choose more than one log file set. Sets can be located in different directories and/or could have different file names. You can enter exact file names or wildcards.

Examples:

C:\My Logs\*.gz

C:\My Logs\WMS_2006*.log

FTP

FTP Server

Your remote FTP server address.

Port

The FTP port number. The default port is 21.

File path

The directory to where you will download the file. You can enter exact file names or wildcards.

User

The username that you use to log on to your server.

Password

The password that you use to log on to your server.

Passive FTP Mode

Toggle whether to use the data connection to the FTP site instead of the site establishing the data connection to your PC. This is necessary for some firewall configurations.

Ask password every time

When this option is turned ON, the plugin shows a dialog prompting for the user name and password at every connection. By default, the dialog is filled with the values of the User and Password fields from the host record.

HTTP

HTTP Url

The Web address of the of remote log file (wildcards are not supported, due to nature of HTTP server). You can use separate multiple URLs with semicolons.

User and Password

Enter username and password if needed to login on the HTTP server. If your server doesn't require login, leave those fields empty.

ODBC DSN

DSN name

Enter the ODBC DSN name you which to access. Note Prior to creating a connection you have to set up a "DSN" in the ODBC admin tool. The DSN name used to create the connection must exist in the odbc.ini file.

Table name

Enter the Table name you wish to access.

Fields name

Enter the fields name.
